Elderly Man Portrait

A Dying Man

Sci-Fi / Thriller

Norman Smith is a man who has lived many lives. He’s been a Roman Centurion and an English nobleman, a French priest and a German soldier. He has stood in the shadow of the guillotine and gazed upon the face of Christ. But now the old man languishes in a New Hampshire nursing home, frail and weak, approaching the end of another life. And in his waning days he befriends a young hospice volunteer, Netty Fleur.

At first, Mr. Smith’s tales of old captivate and beguile Netty, a history major at the local college. Their days are spent in a fantasy world that resides inside Mr. Smith’s imagination; a place revealed only to Netty, as Norman Smith pretends to be in the grip of a coma with all others who enter his room. But soon the old man’s words cast a shadow over Netty’s peaceful existence—Mr. Smith knows things that he shouldn’t.

The dying man claims to be older than the pyramids, and he possesses the secrets to prove it.

Betrayal and mortal sin are revealed during Mr. Smith’s final days, a web of deceit that threatens to consume Netty and all those who cross the old man’s path. Yet things are not what they seem.

Snow-Capped Mountain Landscape

Four Days

SCI-FI Thriller / Horror

Benjamin Noorvik looked up at the steely blue sky and knew it was going to be a bad day. A tribal elder on Alaska's North Slope, the old man shouldered the forlorn burden of knowing, of seeing. And today’s fleeting sunshine brought with it a stark omen—a looming darkness encroached upon the very threshold of this world.

Beneath the midnight sun, the remote Alaskan outpost of Wainwright begins to rattle, but it's not a “trembler.” Rather, something has crashed on the outskirts of town. Soon, military investigators arrive and discover a debris field littered with countless blue squares. But that's not all they find. A 12-foot gleaming capsule is embedded in the mud, an injured astronaut hidden within. Racing to save the visitor's life, the team plunges into a battle against an invisible killer that will bring the world to the brink of oblivion.

The Black Space

SCI-FI / Horror

“If you find yourself in the Blackspace, get out now—escape while you can! Outside is your only hope for survival.”

Rob, Gil, Evie, and Hoy are in their new corporate office when the radio station broadcasts an absurd warning. Dismissive at first, they begin to witness bizarre behavior and come to believe the country is in the grip of a national emergency. Slipping away from the building, they soon become separated, falling into a chaotic world devoid of fellow human beings. Struggling to cope with the unfolding catastrophe, the four survivors embark upon individual journeys shaped by their fears and frailties.

Searching for his family, Rob is haunted by a menacing shadow that follows wherever he goes. Aided by a mysterious man in a trench coat, he finds himself in a fateful battle for his immortal soul.

Meanwhile, Evie and Gil witness an invasion of the countryside by an army of nameless, faceless soldiers led by a dark and enigmatic commander. Stalking their every move, the shadowy force is relentless in its pursuit.

And Hoy's fascination with science fiction seemingly summons starships and the domination of Earth by an alien foe. Desperate to survive, he races to stay ahead of the deadly horde.

In the end, all four are reunited as they grasp the meaning of their apocalyptic visions.

Urban Street View

Sidney's World

YOUNG ADULT Sci-Fi / Thriller

Sidney Theroux is having quite the dream. Twelve-years-old and struggling with cerebral palsy, the Mississippi boy now awakens in a magical place, a paradise where he is no longer stricken by his dreadful affliction. Far from the lonely trailer where he dwells with Grandma Loretta, Sidney is now a full-grown man, tall and strong. And the realm he finds himself in is a bustling metropolis where everyone adores him, a vibrant place he's always longed to live, with shiny skyscrapers and a cacophony of street noise.

But back home in his rural town, Sidney's body languishes in an ICU bed, snared in the grip of coma borne of newly diagnosed leukemia. And as the doctors struggle to save the boy's life with round after round of chemotherapy, Sidney's newfound dreamscape is infiltrated by shadowy men cloaked in trench coats, eager to snatch him back to Mississippi.

As the days and weeks pass, Sidney enjoys a life he could only dream of—playing baseball with his hero and new best friend, professional ball player Joe Anselmo, living in a penthouse at the top of the city, being the talk of the town! Meanwhile, a struggle rages back home, where an estranged birth mother reappears following 12 years of absence, accompanied by her serial killer boyfriend bent on a deranged crusade to save Sidney's life.

Intertwined and knotted, these disparate lives race along a fateful course as Sidney's condition deteriorates. But the future rests in the boy's hands alone—will he awake in time to save himself, only to be resentenced to the bodily prison of cerebral palsy, or will he spend his last days healthy and strong in a dreamworld that exists only in his mind?
